Reiki
Reiki was developed in the 1920s in Japan and spread to the West in the 1930s. The Japanese word “Reiki” can have a number of meanings. It is often translated as “universal life force”. .
Reiki is a powerful yet gentle energy-based healing modality that EVERYONE can use. Relaxation, pain relief, physical healing, reduced emotional distress, and a deepened awareness of the inner-self are among the benefits attributed to Reiki in anecdotes, case studies, and exploratory research. Reiki is also a complimentary technique, meaning it supports any treatment a person is already receiving. In fact, it can accelerate healing like after surgery. Reiki is easily adaptable in a variety of settings, It is often used in regional and even big-city hospitals.
I have provided Reiki for many years at a local hospital in the Boston area. as well in my private practice. With reikiI helped alleviate deep pain, anxiety and insomnia for people in crisis.
I offer a precise technique for tapping into healing energy, or ki, and transmitting it through touch, non-touch or distant healing.
What to expect at an Energy Therapy session.
First and foremost, I deeply listen; present-moment listening is an important part of the healing process. Then, with many healing techniques at hand, I collaborate compassionately with you to create a plan..
Together with hearing what you tell me and working with the energy centers of your bio-field which are called "chakras," I gather understanding of the presenting situation. I, then invite the body, mind and spirit into balance; creating the natural state of being in which healing is possible.
In a Reiki and Full Spectrum healing session, I place my hands lightly on your fully-clothed body in a number of locations, or my hands may be a few inches off of the body. You can be either lying down or sitting comfortably in a chair. There is usually a feeling of relaxation, pain relief and warmth, but other sensations are possible. Reiki can empower the body to facilitate physical, mental, spiritual and emotional health; it helps the body work to relieve “stuck” or stagnant energy. It has potential to enhance the effectiveness of any other ongoing treatment method, supporting healing wherever needed.
Not all sessions include Reiki or Energy Medicine; sometimes the sessions center on counseling, spiritual exploration, holistic coaching, guided mediations, and/or mindfulness training. This depends on what is needed in each session.
DISTANCE HEALING:
I am also trained in distance healing. This means I am able to create healing environment with reiki, energy medicine, compassionate listening, intuitive feedback and mindfulness support---
How does distant healing work?
I meet with you over zoom, and. we talk for a bit about what is up for you, then I continue to do my work with you while we are off the computer. I will ask that you lay down or relax at home. This is a powerful experience and if you are curious, I am happy to have a conversation with you on the phone before you try. I have found that people who have anxiety and insomnia prefer to use this aspect of reiki while they are at home so that they can relax afterwards. Please let me know if you are interested.
The best way to tell if Reiki is right for you is to experience it for yourself.
